Here's another cute image of my baby girl. She gets so tired of me taking pictures of her! But, I always get the best expressions when she's mad!

I've been playing around with some textures in my images. Can't decide if I like it or if I'm even using them right? I would love to hear from you! Does it add anything of interest to the photograph or do you like it better before?? BTW - this is the before and below is the after with the texture applied. Love to hear your thoughts.

Here he is...the man of the hour...Clair...the only reason the rest of the bunch exists! It was his 80th birthday and the whole family gathered to celebrate. Their were people there from Florida, Wisconsin and New York. It was great to witness the reunions...I'm told the whole family hasn't been together like this in some time. I loved being a part of this day. Everywhere I looked there were beautiful moments just waiting to be captured!

I just could not resist posting one of my favorite images from the day! Miss Celia knows how to light up a room. I have never seen such pure joy and exitement!

O.k...you have to know the story behind this image. I was told by mom that she cannot keep clothes on these two! In fact, before their naptime I heard mention of duct tape and thought maybe they were going to cover their mouths!! When I asked what it was for, I was told that they have to tape their diapers so they can't take them off! So, it was no surprise that after a day of being dressed in the most beautiful (but I imagine uncomfortable) dresses, they were thrilled to be naked again!.

The boys! I am told that atleast two of them eat, sleep and breath fishing! What a perfect spot for this father and sons photo!

Another really special moment between Emma and Ann. I love how you can feel how much grandma loves her when you look at this image.

I almost missed this image! With a little help from Becky and Jen we were able to keep Fisher and Grace up there for a couple of shots. I just love this image! I hope it ends up on grandma's wall!

Grace just couldn't help smiling! I used the old "Whatever you do...don't smile!" trick on her. Works every time.

Just the Girls

o.k....don't be jealous...we are in Florida!!!!

We decided to join my cousin and her family at their condo in Destin. And, if that wasn't good enough, my mom offered to keep William! So, it's just Mary and I and we are lovin it. It is so nice spending time with her alone. She loves all the attention. She also loves the beach.

It's sunny and 65 here...not warm enough to swim...but, definitely better than Indiana weather. We'll be back Friday. I'll post lots of pictures then.

a first for me...

I am so exited to share a few pictures from a session I did earlier today. I was priveleged to photograph these beautiful baby boys...Tod, Max & Jack. They were such troopers! We never got them all to sleep at the same time (unless you count the fact that they were all sound asleep as we were walking out the door :)...but, it didn't matter. The images are just stunning. BTW - there are many, many more great ones...but, I am making myself stop and go to bed. I'll post more later! Hope you guys like them.
Tod was so relaxed and cool throughout the session...I think he's going to be a monk when he grow's up!
Couldn't resist including one of big sis Bailey. What a cutie...and very, very sweet! There were so many great shots of her...I just had to pick one because I'm running out of awake time tonight.

Little Dude (now and then)

Here's a cute comparision. Ethan Hurry at about 3-4 days old and today at about 6 1/2months. He's sitting in the same wicker rocking chair! Love it!

Check this out...

Just wanted to share this with all of you...especially my fellow photographers. Since I specialize in on-location/natural light photography...the winter months can prove to be a challenge. I did this shoot this morning and I was dealing with a very low-light situation. I didn't want to use flash but couldn't get enough available light. I opened up the front door and put the baby in front of it. I improvised with this blue blanket the client had on hand. It's amazing what you can do with a little tape and some creativity. These shots turned out great. I'll share more from our session with Ethan as I process them. For now, enjoy these behind the scenes images from a gloomy winter session. See below for the final image.

And here's the final result! I love how his big blue eyes pop.
